Lauren Hagel, DDS, MSD - As a dental student at UW, Dr. Lauren was part of the RIDE program, dedicated to providing care in underserved populations. After completing her residency, the mountains and water of the Pacific Northwest kept Dr. Lauren in the Seattle area to start her professional career with some of her former instructors and mentors from the University of Washington Orthodontic program.

Growing up as the daughter of a local dentist, smiles were always a part of Dr. Lauren's life in the PNW and the perfect place for her to practice orthodontics.

Dr. Lauren helps to teach an ethics course to the dental students at the University of Washington School of Dentistry

Jack Hou DDS, MDS - Born in New York and raised in Tennessee, after completing residency, Dr. Jack moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2006 and started his orthodontic career. Dr. Jack loves taking his kids out on the golf course, paddle boarding, or on early morning drives to get donuts.

Dr. Jack met his wife, Dr. Kortne, in dental school in 2001, and they both eventually moved to the Pacific Northwest to work together. They have been married since 2011 and have two kids.

Dr. Jack is an Affiliate Assistant professor at the UW and teaches the orthodontic residents on Fridays.

Kortne Frederick Hou DDS, MDS - Originally from Michigan, Dr. Kortne has been practicing orthodontics in the Seattle area since 2008 with her partner and husband, Dr. Jack Hou. Dr. Kortne loves to travel and will find any excuse to be outdoors hiking, skiing or in the water with her kids.

Dr. Kortne loves skiing with her kids in the winter. As an undergraduate, she raced for the University of Michigan Ski Team. Dr. Kortne met her husband, Dr. Jack, in dental school in 2001, and they both eventually moved to the Pacific Northwest to work together. They have been married since 2011 and have two kids.
